Improvements made in the bonding agents, light cure units have been improved to ensure adequate polymerization of the composite resin material. The factors such as intensity of the light, exposure time and wavelength as related to the type of photoinitiator used in the composite resin material, affect the rate and depth of polymerization. Few studies have concluded that almost 37% of composite restorations are insufficiently polymerized, owing to a lower intensity of light from the light cure unit.
